I have loved good food ever since moving to California and awakening to a world of fresh organic vegetables, simple sauces and various multicultural cuisine bursting with flavor! I’ve worked in several upscale restaurants in both Monterey and San Francisco including The Pheasant’s Eye and Greens Vegetarian restaurant. I co-owned Awaken Foods, which created natural, gourmet calzones. While visiting Thailand in 1993, I fell in love with Asian food while devouring a bowl of seafood noodle soup. The myriad of tastes and textures inspired me. In 2001, I co-owned the restaurant, Asia, in Nevada City, Ca specializing in Southeast Asian cuisine.
In 2011, I started Blue Ginger Catering offering multicultural cuisine as well as an array of hors d’oeuvres. See menu for a list of offerings. Fresh, local (if possible) and natural ingredients are important to me, as well as the use of herbs and spices to enliven flavors. I believe food should make people feel cared for and happy and I strive to do just that with Blue Ginger Catering. Hope you’re hungry!
